If you have been injured due to the negligence or intentional actions of another, you may have a claim to compensation. Negligence can arise in many situations such as: car accidents, slip and falls (premise liability), product liability, wrongful death, and other situations. Intentional acts like battery and false imprisonment will also give you a claim for compensation.
Business
Business law encompasses a wide range of law. As you may already know, businesses develop some type of contract with their customers, or other businesses. It is crucial to have a well executed contract to avoid liability and/or enforce your rights. In a company, partnership, LLC, or other kind of business entity, members owe each other (and the business) a fiduciary duty. When these duties have been violated, the business has standing to bring a claim for the harm that was caused, or in some cases, to stop the harm that has occurred or is strongly likely to occur.
